Four types of hologram overlays for standard ID card size
Currently, Suzhou Image laser offers Four types of hologram overlays for standard ID card size.
1) Patch Hologram
A 16-micron hologram patch film laminated to the card. The film is approx 1mm smaller than the card cat on each side. Scratch-resistant is better. Mostly used for national ID cards, driving licenses. Need a special lamination machine.
2) Embedded Laminate Overlay
A 50-micron holographic laminate overlay is embedded into different card substrates by using huge type lamination equipment. And then do personalized printing to protect the security of cards. Scratch-resistant is great, but only a partial security pattern.
3) Heat Transfer Hologram overlay
A 2-3 micron hologram layer transferred card. hologram overlay size is the same as card size. Scratch resistance is not as good as Patch. Need a special lamination machine.
4) Adhesive hologram overlay
It’s like a sticker that can be paste into the card manually. The hologram film size is 1mm smaller than the card on each side.
